If there is a phone in the history of smart phones which has created undying buzz; it is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Both the gaming world and the smartphone industry have been waiting in anticipation for the official announcement of the phone’s existence. Currently all that is known about the gaming handset is leaked information which may or may not be entirely accurate. This handset’s expected retail price is still unknown but judging from its dual nature it is expected to retail at quite a sum. The mobile is however slated for release in April 2011 after its official announcement at the Mobile World Congress to be held in February.<\/p>\n
The handset which will be a hybrid of Sony’s PSP Go is expected to encompass gaming capabilities in a smartphone making it the first of its kind. Initially it was thought that the mobile would be known as Xperia Z1. Sony recently acquired a trademark on four domains including an Xpeia Play domain which strongly indicates that this device will be known as Xperia play. The leaked information relating to the mobile has been attributed to reliable officials from Sony which further confirms that it could be in the works.<\/p>\n
