Thomas J. Whorley, Attorney


Thomas J. Whorley has been a member of the firm since 1973. His field of practice is general practice including, but not limited to, estate planning, wills and probate, real estate, education law, business law, and litigation.

A native of Sheldon, Tom earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota in 1969. He then attended the University of South Dakota Law School and graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1972.

Tom is admitted to the Iowa and Minnesota state bars. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa and the United States Supreme Court. He was an Assistant Iowa Attorney General from 1972 to 1973 and the Sheldon City Attorney from 1974 to 1982. He is currently a member of the O'Brien County Bar Association, the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, and the Iowa State Bar Association. In 2002, he was awarded the Iowa State Bar Association Community Service Award.
